Patrick Manning graduated in physics from Imperial College London. He worked for the Space Research Institute as a research scientist. He worked as part of a team investigating how the orbits of satellites decayed.

He joined Xerox Learning Systems where he conducted a meta-analysis of instructional design methods, tools and techniques.

For the past twenty years Patrick has gained considerable business experience working as a management consultant specialising in performance recovery; designing and delivering change programmes for individuals, groups and organisations. For the past three years he has conducted a metaanalysis of peer reviewed research into decision making.

The research was drawn from three domains:

• cognitive neuroscience
• neuroeconomics
• management sciences

Patrick brings a scientist’s approach to bear on the design, delivery and evaluation of all decision seminars to guarantee that:

• the intellectual content is always evidence-based.
• the learning experience uses the most effective instructional design tools and techniques.
• the delegate learning experience is carefully mapped out.
• the learning experience is objectively evaluated

Patrick has a warm, relaxed and informal style but most crucially adopts a non-technical approach
